Tres Chic Veronique

Blue, blue everywhere!

Well, it seems that things are happening so fast around here that I can barely keep you updated!

Blue news #1:
Engagement Ring
A sapphire engagement ring! Followed on January 17th by a matching wedding band. Both were designed and made by Caroline Glemann and Michael Fitzgerald of studio 174 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. We gave them the sapphire, and they immediately came up with design ideas. A couple sketches, a mock-up ring in silver, and one month later, I had a ring on my finger. They rock.

For the wedding, I wore my Hyrna Herbogar shawl. I guess I'm superstitious, because I didn't want to tell you when I blogged about this FO that it was to be my wedding shawl... But I laugh about that now:

I also wore: orange earrings by Sandra and a Two Toned Ribbed Shawl (by Stefanie Japel in Fitted Knits), knit in a black cashmere blend. I had never knit with black yarn before! Did you know it was impossible to photograph? Yes, you probably did.

Blue news #2:
Bring on the baby blue yarn! We're having a boy!
